Ned focuses on the Life Sciences sector and is a member of the Health Evolution Partners Growth Fund’s Investment Committee.

Ned has served on both private and public company boards, including current roles at Cardiovascular Systems (NASDAQ:CSII) and Prolacta Biosciences, as well as past roles at Angiotech Pharmaceuticals, Novasom (formerly Sleep Solutions), and Tandem Diabetes

Select Experience:

TPG Biotech:  Prior to joining HEP, Ned was a Managing Director for TPG Biotech, from 2007 to 2010, where he co-led the fund’s investments in medical devices, as well as being involved in work with various portfolio companies.

Healthcare Investment Partners:
  Ned co-founded Healthcare Investment Partners, a growth equity healthcare fund, in 2004, with Reid Perper and Henry Wendt, the former CEO of SmithKline Beecham and Chairman of Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette’s healthcare private equity arm, Global Healthcare Partners.

Credit Suisse/Donaldson Lufkin & Jenrette:  Ned was a Managing Director at Credit Suisse, and DLJ prior to its acquisition by Credit Suisse in 2000, where he was a senior partner leading the firm’s life sciences effort and head of the West Coast health care team

Bachelor’s degree, Phi Beta Kappa, Magna Cum Laude, with High Honors, in English Literature, Middlebury College.  Winner of the Reid L. Carr Prize in English.
